The Orange County Museum of Art holds over 4,500 works of art , focusing on art produced during the 20th and 21st centuries by artists based in California and countries around the Pacific Rim. The art includes a variety of traditional paintings, sculptures, photography, video, digital, and installation art . The OCMA is so popular that it attracts more than 40,000 visitors annually from around the globe. This museum is truly as impressive as it sounds and definitely worth the visit.

Although the OCMA is temporarily located in Santa Ana’s South Coast Village , the new museum—currently in the works—is going to be breathtaking. Doubling in size, the new 53,000-square-foot building will be a “work of art inside and out,” with an incredible gallery space along with other large gathering spaces, including a rooftop terrace. Although the museum is amazing as it currently is, look out for the new, incredible location opening in late 2022. It is going to be worth the wait!
